Agreement Between User and Liceum.ai

The Liceum.ai website and platform (the “Site” and “Services”) are operated by Liceum.ai. The Services are offered to users conditioned on acceptance without modification of these Terms of Use. By accessing or using Liceum.ai, a user agrees to all terms, conditions, and notices stated here. If a user does not agree to these Terms, the Services should not be used.

Modification of These Terms of Use

Liceum.ai reserves the right to change these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the Services after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.

Description of Services

Liceum.ai is a talent marketplace built for AI delivery. The platform enables:
  • Requesters to post AI tasks or projects
  • Professionals to apply to tasks that match their skills
  • Both parties to communicate, agree on terms, and complete work
  • Payments and withdrawals through the platform
  • Task-based assessments and in-platform workflows for data annotation
Liceum.ai is not an employer, staffing agency, or labor contractor. Professionals using Liceum.ai are independent contractors and are not employees of Liceum.ai.

Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years old to use Liceum.ai. By using the Services, users confirm they meet this requirement.

Account Registration and Identity Verification

Users must create an account to access the Services. Account information must be accurate and kept up to date. Liceum.ai supports AI-enabled identity verification using facial recognition. Users may be required to upload a valid ID and complete identity verification to access tasks, apply to projects, or withdraw earnings. Liceum.ai may suspend or terminate accounts that fail verification, provide false information, or attempt to create duplicate or fraudulent profiles.

Marketplace Rules for Requesters

Requesters agree to:
  • Post accurate task descriptions, requirements, and budgets
  • Communicate in good faith with applicants
  • Pay for approved work through the platform
  • Avoid posting unlawful, harmful, or misleading tasks
  • Respect confidentiality and IP agreements made with professionals
Requesters understand that Liceum.ai does not guarantee outcomes or performance beyond providing the marketplace, communication tools, and dispute mediation.

Marketplace Rules for Professionals

Professionals agree to:
  • Provide accurate profile information and credentials
  • Apply only to tasks they can complete responsibly
  • Communicate in good faith with requesters
  • Deliver work aligned with the agreed scope and timelines
  • Avoid plagiarism, fraud, or misuse of confidential data
Professionals remain responsible for their own taxes, legal compliance, and any required reporting.

No Unlawful Or Prohibited Use

Users may not use Liceum.ai for any unlawful purpose or in a way that harms the platform, other users, or marketplace trust. Prohibited actions include:
  • Misrepresenting identity, skills, or experience
  • Creating fake or duplicate accounts
  • Posting unlawful or abusive content
  • Uploading viruses, malware, or harmful files
  • Attempting to access platform systems without authorization
  • Using the platform to harass or exploit others
  • Circumventing payments, platform fees, or marketplace processes
Liceum.ai may remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Communication Services

Liceum.ai includes messaging and other communication tools. Users agree to use these tools only for lawful, professional, and task-related communication. Liceum.ai may review or remove communications that violate these Terms, and may restrict or terminate access without notice when required for safety, compliance, or marketplace integrity.

Payments, Fees, and Withdrawals

Liceum.ai supports payments through PayPal as of now. Additional payout options such as Google Pay and direct deposit are planned and will be added in future updates.
For requesters
  • Posting tasks and hiring are free
  • Payments are made through the platform based on accepted offers and milestones

For professionals
  • Earnings may be paid per project or milestone
  • A 10% platform fee applies to professionals
The fee is deducted only when earnings are withdrawn Liceum.ai is not responsible for delays caused by PayPal, banks, or third-party payment systems.

Disputes and Mediation

Liceum.ai encourages requesters and professionals to resolve issues directly through platform communication. If a dispute cannot be resolved, either party may request mediation. Liceum.ai will review relevant evidence such as task scope, guidelines, communication, and submitted work. A decision will be made in good faith to resolve the dispute fairly. Liceum.ai’s mediation decision is final for the purpose of platform resolution.

Confidentiality and NDAs

Confidentiality terms and NDAs are arranged directly between requesters and professionals. Liceum.ai provides a secure workflow space, but does not act as a legal party to NDAs unless explicitly stated in writing. Users are responsible for ensuring appropriate agreements are in place for sensitive data or IP access.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise agreed between the requester and the professional:
  • Professionals retain ownership of pre-existing tools, templates, or methods they bring to a task
  • Requesters receive ownership of the delivered work after full payment and approval
  • Any licensing or reuse terms must be clearly agreed upon by both parties
Liceum.ai does not claim ownership of user content, submissions, or deliverables.

Links to Third-Party Sites

The Site may include links to third-party websites or services. These linked sites are not under Liceum.ai's control. Liceum.ai is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Use of third-party services is at the user’s own risk.

Liability Disclaimer

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Liceum.ai makes no warranties regarding:
  • The accuracy or reliability of marketplace content
  • The quality of work delivered by professionals
  • The outcome of any project or hiring decision
  • Platform availability without interruption
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Liceum.ai is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform. Users assume full responsibility for marketplace decisions, project outcomes, and collaborations.

Termination and Access Restriction

Liceum.ai may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time if:
  • These Terms are violated
  • Fraud or abuse is suspected
  • Verification fails
  • A user creates risk for the marketplace or other users
Termination may occur without prior notice when required for safety or compliance.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Users agree that disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Phoenix, Arizona, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Changes to this Statement

Liceum.ai may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes means acceptance of the revised Terms.
